This readme file describes the air quality data from the UCD air quality model.

The regular model data is available at http://169.237.114.233/data/soa/.  
There are two subdirectories under soa/, daily_avg/ contains the daily 
average concentrations, and monthly_avg/ contains the monthly average
concentrations. 

The detailed primary source apportionment data is available at 
http://169.237.114.233/data/primary/ with subdirectories for the
/daily_avg and /monthly_avg concentrations in csv format.

The daily and monthly data is available in the following 3 domains:

1) the entire state of California domain with 24km horizontal grid resolution (ca24km);
2) the Southern California domain with 4km horizontal grid resolution (scb4km);
3) the central California domain with 4km horizontal grid resolution (sjv4km).

All 3 domains (24km_ca, 4km_scb and 4km_sjv) are on Lambert map projection, with the following parameters:
 map_proj = 'lambert',
 ref_lat   =  37.00,
 ref_lon   = -120.50,
 truelat1  =  30.0,
 truelat2  =  60.0,
 stand_lon = -120.50,

The origin (coordinate of lower left corner) of 24km_ca is (-465km, -475km), grid dimensions are 44 X 43.

The origin of 4km_scb domain is (-33km,-475km), grid dimensions are 102 X 60

The origin of 4km_sjv domain is (-225km, -211km), grid dimensions are 108 X 108.

The file format is binary.  A Fortran program is available at

An instruction file how_to_read_data.txt describes how to use the program.
